Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Hudson IT and Manpower is seeking a highly skilled Platform Engineer IV specializing in Windows Administration and Application Support. The role involves managing Windows-based environments, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability for mission-critical applications such as IBM FileNet and DataCap.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Windows server environments, including but not limited to Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy management. Ensure systems are patched, up-to-date, and secure
• Provide technical support for Windows-based applications, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring applications are optimized for performance and availability
• Implement and maintain monitoring solutions to proactively identify and resolve issues, ensuring high availability and performance of Windows platforms and applications
• Develop and enforce security policies and procedures to protect organizational data and IT resources. Respond to and mitigate security incidents
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system architectures, configurations, processes, and service records
• Provide expert advice and support to internal teams and external clients, collaborating on IT solutions that align with business objectives
• Stay abreast of new technologies and industry best practices, recommending improvements to systems and processes

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience
• Proven experience in Windows administration, including expertise in managing Windows Server environments and supporting Windows-based applications
• Strong understanding of network protocols, infrastructure services, and security principles
• Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
• Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Ansible)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex technical issues
• Strong project management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical stakeholders
