[Remote] Field Account Manager - New York, Connecticut

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Sartorius is a global life science company focused on translating scientific discoveries into real-world medicine. The Field Account Manager will be responsible for managing sales results for mid-size and large accounts in New York and Connecticut, developing customer relations, and utilizing CRM systems to drive sales activities.

Responsibilities

  • Promote the organization's products and services within an assigned geographic area, product range or key account to achieve sales and revenue targets
  • Identify new business opportunities aligned with the organization's overall market and growth strategy
  • Actively use SFDC to manage and document leads and opportunities, all customer interactions and sales activities ensuring that all customer and opportunity information is up-to-date and accurately entered in the CRM system
  • Analyze SFDC data for assigned customers to identify trends, generate customer insights and track sales performance
  • Actively drive newly launched innovative products and services into the marketplace and proactively follow up on the successful implementation of sales activity
  • Assess and analyze customer needs, generate leads, respond to customer inquiries and suggest products and services as appropriate
  • Develop and implement account plans and request and coordinate resources in line with the account plans
  • Work closely with cross functional team to create higher market perception and successful strategies to gain business from an account
  • Coordinate and participate in marketing activities in assigned territory
  • Frequently assess the potential of each customer and plan to realize it into business
  • Manage and build strong customer relationships for long term partnership
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently

Skills

  • Bachelors degree in life sciences or engineering
  • 3+ years field sales experience
  • Hands-on knowledge and proactive usage of SFDC and other CRM tools
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated, energetic, results oriented, capacity to work independently with a strong sense of responsibility
  • Good teamwork skills and proven ability to also work with cross-functional teams
  • Proven software skills, e.g. Microsoft Office
  • Identification with our core values: Sustainability, Openness, Enjoyment
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently
  • Higher level of education would be beneficial
  • Laboratory/process-based experience in Life Science
