Position DescriptionThe Comic Illustrator will help with creating cartoons/graphics for NHEG comics, magazines or any other publication. He/She can use any software of their choosing (E.G: Photoshop, Illustrator, Procreate, etc.) to create illustrations from beginning to end or to add the finishing touches to the sketch of another team member (I.E: Inking and/or coloring) while adapting to a predetermined art style. These illustrations will be mostly for the comic book, which will cover serious issues faced by society. Using Kelly Bear press articles as our story line.BackgroundPrior experience with inking cartoons, imagery and graphic design is a must.Major DutiesPrepare sketches of characters or model drawingsHelp designing the layout and/or sketching the comic book pagesInk character or page sketches as needed (line art)Coloring inked pages or character sketches.Attend online or in-person meetingsWork as a team to accomplish goalsCreate advertisements or graphics for NHEGEdit Images and AdvertisementsSome activities may be assigned more than others depending on the needs of the moment and/or the individual skill set of the Comic Illustrator.FundamentalsEvaluationsYour performance will be evaluated on the punctuality and efficiency of your tasks. Any concerns will be discussed with the appropriate recommendations made. In addition, your evaluation will be used as a determination of your continuing status and to highlight any areas that need improvement.CopyrightIf you are a comic illustrator for us, you also must only submit original works that are 100% yours.Dress CodeIf working in person at NHEG home office you will dress appropriately and professionally for this position.ScheduleYour hours will be worked out with NHEG and the Director of Virtual Development.Supplies (Soft/Hard)Whenever possible, NHEG seeks out ways to provide necessary software.
