Responsibilities

Accurately translate and localize written documents, audio recordings, or spoken conversations from English into Japanese and from Japanese into English. Create and synchronize subtitles for audio-visual material and online presentations. Research and apply industry-specific and gaming-related terminology consistently. Render the message and meaning of the source text into the target text. Proofread and review translated content to ensure linguistic accuracy, consistency, and quality. Edit content while maintaining its original format (e.g., font and structure) Collaborate with project managers, editors, and developers to meet project goals and deadlines. Requirements and skills Proven professional experience as a gaming translator or localization specialist. Native-level Japanese proficiency and strong professional proficiency in English. Excellent understanding of cultural nuances, idiomatic expressions, and gaming terminology in both languages. Strong time-management and organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure. Strong attention to detail. Familiarity with WordPress is advantageous. Experience with content editing, localization, or CAT tools is highly desirable. Degree or relevant certification in translation, linguistics, or language studies is advantageous. Availability to work 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday) with flexibility to meet deadlines.
