This entry-level role involves analyzing business processes, gathering requirements, and collaborating with teams to enhance efficiency and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with underwriting teams to understand workflows, business needs, and system requirements
• Gather, document, and analyze business requirements for underwriting systems, tools, and processes
• Assist in identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency, automation, and data quality
• Support the development, testing, and implementation of underwriting system enhancements and projects
• Create and maintain process flows, business requirement documents (BRDs), and functional specifications
• Analyze underwriting data to identify trends, issues, and improvement opportunities
• Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure solutions meet business requirements
• Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams
• Assist in troubleshooting system issues and providing user support
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, company, and underwriting guidelines

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, related field or equivalent business experience
• 0–2 years of experience in business analysis, underwriting support, insurance, or related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with data tools is a plus
• Basic understanding of insurance underwriting processes and risk assessment
• Knowledge of insurance systems and policy administration platforms
• Exposure to SQL, data analysis tools, or reporting platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
• Familiarity with Agile or Waterfall project methodologies
