Sr. Program Manager/Business Continuity -Large Managed Care Company Fully Remote 6-month contract-potential for extension M-F-8am-5pm-local time zone $65-$70 an hour Senior Program Manager (Business Continuity Management) This role is primarily responsible for providing support to the business continuity, emergency response, crisis management and physical security organizations. The Senior Program Manager responsibilities include identification of issues/opportunities, design/development of solutions, project management of solution implementation and general project/program support. This person will be a capable, strong right hand for the AVP that can effectively and efficiently facilitate activities independently. Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive timelines and contingency plans (20+) to address potential vendor unavailability critical to company operations.
  • Facilitate strategic workshops with senior stakeholders (SVP, VP, Director levels) to design contingency plans covering People, Process, and Technology aspects.
  • Document internal and external contingencies in collaboration with business stakeholders to ensure consistency and preparedness
  • Outline dependencies and establish timelines for external strategies requiring RFPs and/or contractual agreements.
  • Ensure the contingency plan includes detailed, actionable recovery steps, with clearly defined recovery teams and responsibilities, activation/notification procedures, provider/member communication protocols (as applicable), compliance requirements (as applicable), assumptions, plan maintenance guidelines, and any necessary supporting documentation.
  • Conduct plan exercises with key stakeholders through tabletop or micro simulations, document the outcomes, and track the resolution of any outstanding actions.
  • Provide timely reports on any issues, risks, or escalations.

Must Have Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience as a Third-Party / Resilience / Contingency / Business Continuity Consultant
  • Experience with creating comprehensive Contingency plans to ensure overall resilience
  • Experience working closely with C-Level Executives and Senior Vice Presidents/Vice President
  • Certifications: Master Business Continuity Professional – MBCP, Certified Business Continuity Manager – CBCM, and/or Certified Business Continuity Professional – CBCP
  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey requirements to senior stakeholders, ask critical questions, and drive resolutions by proposing industry best practices, strategies, and approaches.
  • This individual will serve as a capable and trusted right hand to the AVP of Business Resilience and the VP of PSSC, demonstrating the ability to independently and efficiently manage and facilitate activities.

You have a deep understanding of:

  • BCM lifecycle and best practices (DRII, BCI). This includes Business Impact Analysis, Risk Assessment, Strategy, Planning, Testing/Exercising and Program Management/Governance
  • Crisis Management and emergency response
  • Project Management
  • SharePoint development (a plus)
  • Physical Security (a plus)
  • Identification, assessment and implementation (including design and planning across multiple integrated platforms) of BC, ER, DR, CM and Physical security tools
  • Utilization/business cases for emergency notification systems. Everbridge experience preferred
  • Utilization/business cases for business continuity, disaster recovery and physical security systems. Including experience developing, integrating and deploying enterprise systems. BC in the Cloud experience preferred
