Job Description

Our Post -Close Specialist II is responsible for performing a detailed post-closing analysis of closed loan packages to determine compliance with Agency program guidelines. Audit loan files for submission to agencies for endorsement/guarantee & loan salability including but not limited to Assumptions, HUD 184 and Non Agency 1st and 2nd mortgages. Validate loan level data within the Encompass360 Loan Origination System (“LOS”) and corresponding agency & investors to ensure that loans are free of deficiencies prior to submission. Perform all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates. The target pay range for this position is $24.04/hr.

  • $25/hr.

What You'll Do

  • Review closed loan packages to ensure that documents are correctly signed and properly executed by borrowers, mortgage loan originators, processors, and underwriters.
  • Perform a detailed post-closing analysis of closed loan packages to determine compliance with Agency program guidelines, regulations, and checklist
  • Enter loan data in FHA Connection, Catalyst WEBLGY, and USDA for Insuring/Guarantee purposes, maintaining accurate data integrity in the loan origination system (i.e., Encompass360).
  • Respond to requests and prepare case binders for any loan files that receive Notice of Rejections/ Deficiencies, VA audit request, and post purchase audit requests from Agencies
  • Prepare loan files for delivery to agencies and investors
  • Define and analyze defects using logic and resourceful methods to actively resolve
  • Work in conjunction with internal operations, borrowers and all entities connected to loan file for conditions needed for audit and/or Notice of Rejections/Deficiencies
  • Maintain production and quality per management guidelines.
  • Perform other general post-closing functions as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What You'll Need

  • Knowledge of mortgage industry concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of mortgage loan documentation and the government insuring processes.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Suite – Word, Excel, etc.
  • Intermediate Encompass 360 skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently, analyze data, recommend and take appropriate actions with limited supervision.
  • Superior analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Resolution oriented with the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and customer service skills
