Responsibilities

• Represent families in matters involving special education rights and services
• Advise clients on navigating the special education process, including IEPs, evaluations, and disputes with school districts
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, briefs, and correspondence
• Attend meetings, mediations, and hearings as needed
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and staff to develop case strategies

Skills

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Admission to the New York state bar (or pending admission)
• Strong analytical, research, and writing skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
