Senior Test Engineer (Backend Testing)

Overview

Nakupuna Solutions is looking for a Senior Test Engineer. This position will support the Department of the Navy, Enterprise Systems & Services Office (PMW 250) and the Naval Safety Command (NAVSAFECOM) efforts for Risk Management Information (RMI). This individual will work with a team delivering an application capable of capturing safety data and supporting the full lifecycle of risk mitigation practices. The RMI initiative consists of four capability areas established to improve safety processes and automated support for those processes.

Responsibilities

Conduct unit testing of feedbacks and execute checklist testing at the end of each sprint prior to production Work closely with Government customers Conduct regression and functional testing for entire program Assist Team Lead with Government Acceptance Testing (GAT) efforts as needed Data Quality and Integrity Validation Data Integrity Checks: Ensure data integrity through checks like foreign key constraints, unique constraints, and other database constraints. Data Quality Assurance: Verify data quality by checking for duplicates, inconsistencies, and invalid data entries. Database Testing Test Case Design: Create SQL queries to validate data accuracy, data consistency, and data integrity. Design tests to cover all possible scenarios, including boundary conditions and edge cases. Data Validation: Validate that data transformations and data migrations are performed correctly. Ensure that data in the source and target databases match after migrations.

Qualifications

Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly in a changing environment. Willingness to take action to overcome challenges or obstacles and look for ways to improve results. Knowledgeable of Agile software development practices. Education and Experience: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or 5-10 years equivalent experience. Certification Requirements: Current credentials in relevant information technology and software development practices preferred. DoD System Access: Must be able to qualify for and obtain a Common Access Card (CAC). Must be able to obtain a favorable Tier 3 (T3) background investigation including an FBI fingerprint check. Must be a U.S. citizen. Physical Requirements: The ideal candidate must at a minimum be able to meet the following physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation: Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and fingers. Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations. Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer. The Nakupuna Companies use a market-based compensation strategy to ensure that our employees are compensated within applicable market ranges commensurate with multiple factors, including but not limited to the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements, and position location. The projected compensation range for this position is $120,000.00 to $140,000.00 (annualized USD). The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Nakupuna Companies total compensation package for employees.
