We create a suite of integrated solutions for time management, resource planning, budget management, roadmapping, program management, reporting and more. We create the tech that enables the modern team to deliver – for every step from first vision to value. Since our beginning in 2007 as a project to make a time-tracking tool to help a client – Tempo has expanded to become the #1 time management add-on for Jira, and we have developed and acquired a multitude of tools to become one of the most trusted names in the Atlassian ecosystem. We want everyone to work better – but we also want to be a tech company with a heart. Join us as we continuously innovate our award-winning products, create new solutions, and help the world work smarter, not harder. About the role: As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will join our team, serving as the ultimate trusted advisor for Tempo’s Strategic Portfolio Management and enterprise agility solutions. Reporting to the Solutions Engineering leadership and based in Sydney, you will champion our vision to mid-market and enterprise accounts across the APAC region. This role requires a blend of deep technical mastery, business acumen, and a passion for value-based enterprise SaaS sales. You will translate complex organizational challenges into elegant SPM solutions, demonstrating how Tempo’s platform and AI-driven capabilities unlock predictive forecasting, optimize resource allocation, and drive measurable business outcomes. What you’ll do: Strategic Value Selling: Deliver compelling architectural presentations, product demonstrations, and business value assessments to enterprise stakeholders and C-level executives. AI & SPM Advocacy: Articulate Tempo’s vision for intelligent, data-driven portfolio management, demonstrating how AI capabilities can optimize workflows, capacity planning, and strategic decision-making. Partner & Ecosystem Enablement: Design and deliver technical enablement programs for our global solutions partners, ensuring they can position and implement Tempo’s complex SPM frameworks. Deal Strategy & Execution: Provide technical pre-sales support for high-value strategic opportunities. Own the technical discovery process, architecture reviews, and technical validation phases (RFPs/POCs). Feedback Loop: Act as a critical link between the field and product engineering, feeding enterprise customer insights and AI feature requests back to product management to shape our roadmap. Scalable Engineering: Contribute to the creation of reusable demo environments, advanced integration patterns, and best-practice technical documentation. Community & Travel: Co-host technical workshops and industry events with partners and clients, with occasional travel for priority conferences and internal collaboration. Who you are: Experience: 5+ years of Solutions Engineering (Pre-Sales) or enterprise consulting experience within enterprise B2B SaaS environments. Domain Expertise: Strong background in Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM), Project Portfolio Management (PPM), Resource Management, or Enterprise Agility frameworks. AI & Data Literacy: Familiarity with how AI, machine learning models, or predictive analytics can be leveraged within enterprise software to drive forecasting and data insights. Ecosystem Expertise: Deep knowledge of the Atlassian Cloud ecosystem, including Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, Jira Product Discovery, and Atlassian Access. Consultative Mindset: Exceptional ability to map complex, disjointed business processes to a unified, automated software solution. Why Join Tempo? Impact: Work on meaningful products that empower enterprise users and improve productivity. Innovation: Be part of a culture that values creativity and innovation, with opportunities to make a real impact.
