Objective of Services: Provides senior-level software engineering services to deliver complex solutions for the client, ensuring robust implementation across multiple environments. Acts as a key independent contributor in a global team, driving technical quality and process improvements while developing advanced software solutions. What you will be doing: Maintaining and enhancing a legacy PHP application that supports core business functionality Gradually modernizing the system, including contributing to rewriting parts of the backend into Python or Golang Collaborating in an English-speaking environment Developing and integrating modern frontend solutions using React Router (must-have) Working with backend technologies including Go (with GORM) and PHP Managing and optimizing database operations with MySQL Building and maintaining containerized environments using Docker Working with cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform, including infrastructure as code using Pulumi Ensuring code quality, scalability, and performance across the application stack Participating in architectural discussions and supporting technology transition decisions You are a good match if you have: 8+ years of commercial experience as a software developer, with strong expertise in PHP Hands-on experience working with PHP without frameworks (legacy systems maintenance and development) Strong experience with React Router (must-have) Solid understanding of backend development, including experience with Go (GORM) or willingness to work with it Very good knowledge of MySQL and database design principles Practical experience with Docker and containerized environments Experience working with Google Cloud Platform and infrastructure tools such as Pulumi Very good command of English (min. B2+/C1) Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in evolving, partially modernized environments You get extra points for: Experience in migrating legacy systems to modern architectures (e.g., PHP → Python or Golang) Knowledge of Python and willingness to support backend transformation initiatives Experience in designing scalable, cloud-based systems Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices Proactive approach, ownership mindset, and ability to work independently in a contractor setup
