About the role As Senior Manager – Modern Slavery, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for The Salvation Army's Modern Slavery Services across Australia. You will lead a highly specialised portfolio at the intersection of modern slavery and family, domestic and sexual violence, ensuring services are innovative, evidence-informed and centred on the needs of victim-survivors. Working collaboratively across government, philanthropy, the community sector and internal stakeholders, you will drive national consistency, strengthen service delivery and position The Salvation Army as a recognised leader in this critical and evolving sector. Reporting to the General Manager, this is a national leadership role that can be based anywhere in Australia. Leading a small team of specialist direct reports, you will provide strategic oversight of The Salvation Army's Modern Slavery Services, driving service excellence, growth and sector leadership across the country. Salary is in accordance with SCHADS Award Level 8, plus superannuation and access to salary packaging benefits, with ability to be negotiated with the successful candidate based on experience. How you will make an impact In this national role, you will: Lead the strategic vision and continued growth of Modern Slavery Services across Australia. Build and maintain influential relationships with Commonwealth and State Governments, philanthropic organisations and sector partners. Represent The Salvation Army as a respected voice through conferences, forums, stakeholder engagement and advocacy. Lead the operational management, governance and performance of all Modern Slavery programs nationally. Oversee contracts, funding agreements, budgets, risk management and service compliance. Identify and secure new funding opportunities that support innovation, sustainability and service growth. Lead the development and implementation of national practice frameworks, research and evaluation initiatives. Foster high-performing, resilient teams with specialist expertise and lived experience. Collaborate across The Salvation Army to influence national policy and advocacy outcomes. What you will bring Degree qualifications in Social Work or a related discipline. Demonstrated experience in growing services through expanded contract negotiations Extensive leadership experience within Modern Slavery and/or Family, Domestic and Sexual Violence services. Demonstrated experience leading complex, multi-site service delivery and operational management. Strong understanding of the drivers impacts and intersections of modern slavery and family, domestic and sexual violence. Proven experience negotiating and managing government contracts and stakeholder relationships. Experience representing organisations within government, community or sector bodies. Strong financial, governance and risk management capability. A relevant Working with Children Check (or the ability to obtain one). A qualification in Business or equivalent management experience will be highly regarded. What we offer Salary packaging up to $15,900 tax free + $2,650 meal entertainment benefit.
