Taylor Hodson Staffing is representing a nationally recognized nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing workforce and education initiatives across the United States. They are seeking a Senior Nonprofit Accountant to provide hands-on support across payroll accounting, grant and labor allocations, month-end close, reconciliations, and audit preparation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and record biweekly payroll allocation entries and related journal entries
• Support labor and grant allocations across multiple programs and funding sources
• Compile and reconcile timesheet data for payroll processing partners
• Prepare bank, investment, and balance sheet account reconciliations
• Investigate reconciling items and prepare correcting entries as needed
• Support month-end close activities, including accruals and recurring journal entries
• Assist with audit preparation, schedules, and supporting documentation
• Prepare and import journal entries into NetSuite
• Support intercompany accounting and account analysis
• Maintain thorough documentation to ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements

Skills

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including significant nonprofit accounting exposure
• Strong experience with grant accounting, cost allocations, or labor distributions
• Experience supporting month-end close and financial reporting
• Proficiency with NetSuite and advanced Excel skills required
• Experience supporting audits and preparing audit schedules
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Prior experience with payroll accounting and allocations preferred
• Large nonprofit, higher education, healthcare, or foundation experience
• Exposure to restricted funds, grant reporting, or fund accounting
• Experience with multi-entity or intercompany accounting environments
