[Remote] Senior Application Security Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Brooksource is seeking an experienced Application Control Technical Lead to guide the deployment and expansion of application control capabilities across a large enterprise environment. The role involves leading the rollout of application control policies and providing strategic direction and hands-on guidance to ensure alignment with security and business needs.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary SME and technical advisor for application control, providing both strategic direction and hands-on guidance
- Lead the rollout of application control policies for end users, ensuring alignment with security and business needs
- Assess the current state and optimize policy design, governance, and deployment approach
- Guide policy refinement, broader user rollout, and expansion into adjacent controls (e.g., browser, endpoint)
- Advise on future-state tooling decisions, including evaluation of platforms such as Airlock or comparable solutions
- Develop strategies for user targeting, exception management, and sustainable operations
- Partner with security, infrastructure, and leadership teams to translate requirements into execution
- Provide best practices, governance frameworks, and stakeholder reporting to support adoption and visibility
Skills
- Proven experience leading application control implementations end-to-end
- Hands-on experience with Intune, Airlock, or other application control technologies
- Strong understanding of application allowlisting, endpoint security, and policy governance
- Experience operating as an SME, technical advisor, or project lead
- Ability to balance technical execution with functional leadership and stakeholder engagement
- Technical mindset with functional leadership capability
- Strong communicator who can guide direction and influence stakeholders
- Comfortable stepping into environments and shaping the path forward
- Experience with tools such as Intune, Airlock, or similar platforms
