The role involves supporting remote consulting opportunities focused on structured investment research review, financial modeling, and risk assessment while applying investment analysis skills to deliver high-quality project execution.

Responsibilities

• Conduct or review equity research across companies, sectors, industries, and public market themes
• Analyze earnings reports, company filings, market data, macroeconomic indicators, and investment research materials
• Support structured review of company profiles, sector notes, market summaries, and investment research outputs
• Identify missing context, unsupported assumptions, market drivers, and expected investment research outcomes
• Review financial models involving DCF analysis, comparable company analysis, scenario analysis, operating assumptions, and valuation outputs
• Evaluate model logic against source data, financial statements, valuation techniques, and documented assumptions
• Support structured review of Excel-based models, valuation summaries, sensitivity tables, and investment case materials
• Prepare clear written explanations for financial analysis and valuation decisions based on source materials and verifiable criteria
• Assist with reviewing investment theses, risk assessments, market reasoning, and recommendation-style outputs
• Evaluate investment research materials for financial accuracy, analytical quality, clarity, and reasoning structure
• Support structured feedback on thesis development, downside risks, catalysts, and valuation narratives
• Maintain accuracy, consistency, and professional judgment across submitted work

Skills

• 1–3 years of experience in investment banking, equity research, asset management, buy-side research, corporate finance, transaction advisory, valuation, or related finance roles
• Strong understanding of financial statements, valuation techniques, accounting basics, and public market research
• Experience with Excel-based financial modeling, DCF analysis, comparable company analysis, scenario analysis, or earnings review
• Familiarity with tools and sources such as Excel, Google Sheets, company filings, earnings transcripts, Yahoo Finance, Koyfin, Bloomberg, Capital IQ, FactSet, or similar research platforms
• Comfort reading and preparing finance artifacts such as financial models, investment notes, valuation summaries, earnings reviews, risk assessments, and research memos
• Clear written communication skills and ability to explain financial reasoning clearly
• Ability to follow structured instructions and produce evidence-based work
• A degree or professional background in finance, economics, accounting, business administration, mathematics, statistics, investment management, or a related quantitative field is helpful
• Equivalent practical experience in investment research, financial analysis, valuation, investment banking, equity research, or public markets analysis is also highly relevant
• CFA Level I or II progress, finance certifications, investment research training, or valuation-focused coursework
• Exposure to public equities, asset management, buy-side research, market analysis, or portfolio research workflows
• Experience with Python, SQL, data analysis, financial datasets, or research automation tools
• Experience preparing or reviewing DCF models, comps analyses, earnings notes, investment memos, scenario analyses, or market summaries
• Strong attention to detail in model-heavy, data-heavy, and research-focused finance environments
