Cypress HCM is seeking a Quality Engineer 2 who will focus on software test automation and quality assurance for validating web-based applications. The role involves designing and maintaining test cases, collaborating with developers, and improving testing methodologies in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases
• Develop and maintain test specifications, test scripts, and automation frameworks
• Validate software functionality throughout the development lifecycle
• Work closely with developers to identify, reproduce, and resolve defects
• Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with distributed teams
• Troubleshoot product issues and perform root cause analysis
• Interpret functional and technical specifications to ensure complete test coverage
• Utilize testing tools to improve product quality and efficiency
• Continuously improve automation processes and testing methodologies

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 2 to 5 years of Quality Assurance or Software Test Automation experience
• Strong understanding of software testing fundamentals, test lifecycle, and defect lifecycle
• Experience developing automated testing frameworks
• Experience testing web-based applications
• Programming or scripting experience with Java, JavaScript, Python, ActionScript, HTML, Perl, or Shell scripting
• Experience working in Agile Scrum environments
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies
