[Remote] Project Manager II

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. American Interstate Signcrafters (AIS) is seeking a Project Manager II to lead the execution of complex, multi-site signage and branding programs. This role is responsible for full lifecycle project ownership, including financial performance, client communication, vendor management, and program execution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end execution of multi-site signage programs from kickoff through closeout
  • Manage schedules, milestones, and deliverables across multiple concurrent projects
  • Ensure alignment with brand standards, design intent, and program requirements
  • Identify and mitigate risks before they impact timelines or budgets
  • Own project financial performance including cost tracking, forecasting, and profitability
  • Manage invoicing, revenue recognition, WIP, and billing in alignment with internal processes
  • Ensure projects meet or exceed margin expectations
  • Source, evaluate, and manage subcontractors and vendors across multiple markets
  • Ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to project scope and timelines
  • Negotiate and manage vendor performance to align with program goals
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients
  • Provide proactive updates, solutions, and recommendations
  • Build strong relationships by adding value and improving program outcomes
  • Manage expectations and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Identify opportunities to improve execution, efficiency, and scalability
  • Contribute to the development of internal processes and best practices
  • Mentor and support junior project managers and coordinators
  • Analyze program performance and recommend strategic improvements

Skills

  • 4–7+ years of project management experience in the sign industry
  • Strong understanding of project financials including cost, revenue, margin, and WIP
  • Proven experience managing subcontractors and installation workflows
  • Ability to manage complex projects across multiple locations simultaneously
  • Strong client-facing communication and relationship management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and make decisions independently
  • Proficiency in Excel and project management tools (Smartsheet, ERP systems such as NetSuite preferred)
