Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Talisman is a growing energy company seeking a Power Markets Analyst to join their trading and risk team. This hands-on analytical role involves building price curves, analyzing pricing and constraints, and developing market reports while collaborating closely with traders and senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain forward price curves across power markets
• Analyse nodal pricing, congestion, and transmission constraints (ERCOT/PJM)
• Support P&L attribution and position risk reporting
• Develop and automate market reporting using SQL and Power BI
• Work directly with traders and present findings to senior leadership

Skills

• 2–6 years in power markets analytics
• Strong understanding of ISO/RTO market structures (ERCOT and/or PJM preferred)
• Forward curve construction experience
• SQL proficient — Python a bonus
• ETRM experience (Endur, Allegro, or similar) advantageous
• Comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders
