[Remote] Java Python Developer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Cypress HCM is seeking a Java/Python Developer for a 6-month contract-to-hire position. The role involves building and enhancing applications using Java and Python, developing interactive data-focused tools, and contributing within an Agile environment while continuously expanding technical skills.
Responsibilities
- Build and enhance applications using Java/Spring Boot to design and develop solutions
- Develop interactive, data-focused tools leveraging technologies like Python, Streamlit, and cloud data platforms (Snowflake)
- Produce high-quality code that is readable, scalable and well-tested in alignment with engineering standards
- Take ownership of work and operate effectively both independently and within a collaborative team
- Contribute within an Agile environment, responding quickly to evolving priorities
- Continuously expand your technical skillset while supporting team growth Skills
- 2-5 years of experience working with front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript/Typescript, and frameworks such as Angular
- 2-5 years of hands-on development experience with Java/Python/Spring Boot
- Practical experience designing and integrating APIs, including REST and/or SOAP, using JSON and XML formats
- Proficiency with build/deployment tools such as Maven, Git/GitHub Actions and Integrating with CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, DB2, or Snowflake
- Hibernate experience
- Experience with XML and XSLT
- Experience developing microservices using containerization such as Kubernetes
- Experience with Unix/Linux environments
- Insurance domain knowledge
- Experience integrating AI into daily development practices Company Overview
