They are seeking an Investor to help establish their sourcing, research, diligence, and investment processes while identifying exceptional founders and opportunities worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with founders, operators, investors, accelerators, and startup communities globally
• Source high-quality startup investment opportunities
• Develop and manage outbound sourcing strategies
• Represent 16VC within startup ecosystems and industry events
• Research emerging industries, technology trends, and investment opportunities
• Develop investment theses across priority sectors
• Evaluate startups, founders, products, markets, and business models
• Conduct market mapping and competitive analysis
• Prepare investment memos and recommendations
• Help establish and refine 16VC's investment processes
• Build sourcing, diligence, and pipeline management frameworks
• Contribute to fellowship and founder engagement initiatives
• Work closely with the leadership team to shape the firm's long-term investment strategy

Skills

• 2+ years of venture capital experience
• Experience working with an institutional VC fund, accelerator, family office, angel network, or investment platform
• Strong understanding of startup ecosystems and venture investing
• Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills
• Strong network-building and relationship-management abilities
• Ability to operate independently in a fast-moving environment
