Orion Groups is a professional services firm based in McKinney, Texas that provides experienced consultants to key organizations across the United States, focusing on the financial and healthcare industries. They are seeking a Healthcare IT Project Manager to lead and coordinate IT initiatives within the healthcare domain, specifically focusing on Cerner or Epic Revenue Cycle, managing complex projects and collaborating with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all phases of project activities, implementing Cerner or Epic Best Practices
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)
• Monitor and track project progress, ensuring alignment with goals and timelines
• Communicate project status, risks, issues, decisions, and action items to stakeholders
• Manage project scope, budget, schedule, resources, risks, and issues
• Forecast and track project financials
• Facilitate virtual project meetings and ensure effective collaboration across teams
• Collaborate with third-party vendors, MSPs, internal departments, and service partners

Skills

• Proven experience managing projects involving Cerner or Epic Revenue Cycle
• Hands-on experience with Epic Revenue Cycle solutions, including Cadence, Prelude, MyChart and HelloWorld
• Hands-on experience with Cerner Revenue Cycle solutions, including Cerner Registration, Charge Services, and/or XR
• Strong understanding of project tracking and escalation processes, including workflow and technical understanding in the Cerner or Epic space
• Experience with ServiceNow and project management tools
• Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively along with excellent verbal and written communication
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience considered
• PMI or PMP certification (strongly preferred)
