[Remote] Future Opening: Accountant II
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Fit Fusion, LLC is a dynamic Crunch Fitness franchise group focused on expanding its presence in the fitness industry. They are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant II to support the monthly close process, maintain balance sheet integrity, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Assist with components of the monthly close process
- Prepare and post basic journal entries (accruals, prepaids, reclasses)
- Ensure transactions are recorded accurately and timely
- Support preparation of monthly financial reports and schedules
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Investigate and escalate discrepancies as needed
- Maintain organized supporting documentation
- Manage AP inbox ensuring proper coding of invoices and supporting documentation
- Reconcile vendor statements and follow up on discrepancies
- Manage company credit cards, including coding, documentation follow up and reconciliations
- Support AP/AR processes
- Assist in identifying and recording routine accruals
- Support basic variance analysis
- Gather data for reporting needs
- Utilize accounting systems
- Support process improvements and documentation
- Follow internal controls
- Collaborate with teams
- Respond to internal requests
- Assist with audit documentation
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1–3 years of accounting experience
- Basic understanding of GAAP
- Experience with journal entries and reconciliations
- Familiarity with accounting systems
- Proficiency in Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to take ownership and work independently
- Effective time management and organization
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving
- Strong communication and collaboration
