What You'll Do

• Identify all required permits for road crossings, foreign utility crossings, rail crossings, water crossings, and special/conditional use scenarios
• Conduct in-depth research using online databases, courthouse records, and recorded documents to determine permitting requirements
• Utilize Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to perform property research and maintain accurate mapping and data records
• Apply knowledge of real property concepts and instruments to ensure compliance with permit-related regulations and documentation standards

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum of one (1) year of Utility Permitting or a related field
• Must have experience working with or within a state's Department of Transportation
• Must be proficient with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Must have an iOS or Android smartphone to be able to access ORC's systems
• Valid Driver's License

Substantial repetitive movements of the wrists, hands, and fingers due to high amounts of computer usage and typing. Expected to spend long spans of time in front of a computer screen. This is a largely sedentary role; however, the employee is occasionally required to move about inside the office to access files, office equipment and to interact with other members of the staff.
