Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Sound & Image Design, Inc is a company focused on providing professional residential and commercial electrical contracting services. They are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer/System Designer to perform electrical takeoffs and create design documentation for high-end residential and light commercial projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical takeoffs for residential and commercial projects
• Creation of design and engineering documentation for electrical systems implementation in high end residences and light commercial applications
• Understand design software (ideally AutoCAD, D-Tools, Planswift)
• Deep understanding of electrical systems, NEC, load calculations, engineering circuits & distribution systems
• Understand the built environment and phases of construction projects

Skills

• Experience designing electrical systems for residential and commercial projects
• Strong working knowledge of the NEC
• Experience producing electrical drawings and construction documentation
• Experience with AV or low-voltage distribution layouts
• Familiarity with residential construction, commercial tenant improvements, service upgrades, and electrical permitting requirements
