The role involves building and innovating on data infrastructure, ensuring data movement and processing, and enhancing the developer experience for data practitioners.

Responsibilities

• Help evolve and innovate Netflix's data infrastructure
• Build secure, scalable, and high-leverage infrastructure abstractions
• Work on platforms that sit at the heart of Netflix's data ecosystem
• Build resilience and reliability tooling, including SLI/SLO enablement
• Provide a self-service, abstracted platform for data movement and processing needs
• Develop and maintain a high-performance, reliable, and efficient key-value store
• Enhance the experience of data practitioners by developing cutting-edge data tools and infrastructure

Skills

• 2+ years of experience in building large-scale distributed systems features or applications
• Proficient in the design and development of RESTful web services
• Experienced in building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed systems
• Experienced in Java or other object-oriented programming languages
• Comfortable tackling multi-threading challenges
• BS in Computer Science or a related field
