[Remote] Demand Planning Analyst

They are seeking a Demand Planning Analyst to support retail forecasting, inventory planning, and sales analysis, working closely with various teams to make data-informed business decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain weekly and monthly demand forecasts across retail channels
  • Analyze sell-in, sell-through, inventory, and retailer POS data
  • Support forecasting updates based on promotions, seasonality, and market trends
  • Monitor retailer purchase orders and inventory levels to identify risks and opportunities
  • Assist with forecast accuracy reporting and variance analysis
  • Create and maintain Excel-based forecasting and reporting tools
  • Prepare business performance reports and planning updates for internal teams
  • Partner with sales, finance, and supply chain teams to align forecasts and inventory needs
  • Track sales trends and support demand planning processes
  • Work cross-functionally with sales, finance, supply chain, and operations teams to support inventory flow, retailer purchase orders, and forecast accuracy
  • Translate large datasets into clear business insights and actionable recommendations

Skills

  • Detail-oriented with past experience supporting retail forecasting, inventory planning, and sales analysis across major retail and e-commerce channels
  • Ability to maintain weekly and monthly demand forecasts across retail channels
  • Ability to analyze sell-in, sell-through, inventory, and retailer POS data
  • Ability to support forecasting updates based on promotions, seasonality, and market trends
  • Ability to monitor retailer purchase orders and inventory levels to identify risks and opportunities
  • Ability to assist with forecast accuracy reporting and variance analysis
  • Ability to create and maintain Excel-based forecasting and reporting tools
  • Ability to prepare business performance reports and planning updates for internal teams
  • Ability to partner with sales, finance, and supply chain teams to align forecasts and inventory needs
  • Ability to track sales trends and support demand planning processes
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, finance, supply chain, and operations teams to support inventory flow, retailer purchase orders, and forecast accuracy
  • Ability to translate large datasets into clear business insights and actionable recommendations
  • 1-2 years of experience in Demand Forecasting, Inventory Planning, Retail Sales Analysis, Forecast Variance Analysis, Data Management/Analysis, Reporting & Dashboard Creation
  • Advanced in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, INDEX/MATCH)
  • Skilled in analyzing sales trends, retailer demand, inventory levels, and promotional activity to support accurate forecasting and business planning
  • Strong data analysis skills with experience building forecasting models, tracking weekly performance, and identifying sales and inventory risks/opportunities
  • Exceptional project management, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with internal teams and external retail partners
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders
