Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Crystal Equation Corporation is seeking a Data Scientist with expertise in forecasting and quantitative analysis. The role involves building and maintaining production time series models and owning data pipelines end to end.

Responsibilities

• 5+ years of industry experience in a forecasting or quantitative analysis
• Strong experience with financial forecasting
• Proven experience building and maintaining production time series or statistical forecasting models, including handling structural breaks, interventions, and external shocks
• Experience integrating covariates and external signals into forecasts and validating their contribution
• Experience owning data pipelines end to end, including scheduling, orchestration, and reporting layers
• Strong analytical judgment, with the ability to balance rigor against the speed a recurring production cadence demands

Skills

• CANDIDATES MUST BE LOCATED in United States and able to work on W2
• MUST BE US CITIZEN OR GREEN CARD HOLDER OR H4EAD OR GREEN CARD EAD VISA
• CANDIDATES WHO CAN WORK ON W2
• 5+ years of industry experience in a forecasting or quantitative analysis
• Strong experience with financial forecasting
• Master OR PHD degree in statistics or finance
• Strong hands-on expertise in SQL and at least one programming language (Python or R)
• Proven experience building and maintaining production time series or statistical forecasting models, including handling structural breaks, interventions, and external shocks
• Experience integrating covariates and external signals into forecasts and validating their contribution
• Experience owning data pipelines end to end, including scheduling, orchestration, and reporting layers
• Strong analytical judgment, with the ability to balance rigor against the speed a recurring production cadence demands
