[Remote] Data Analyst III - Regulatory Reporting - FBG

They are seeking a Data Analyst III to join their enterprise reporting team, focusing on developing and maintaining reporting frameworks, ensuring data quality, and creating executive dashboards that communicate KPIs and insights to leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable DBT models and Snowflake SQL pipelines that power regulatory and operational reports delivered on daily, weekly, and monthly schedules
  • Generate and maintain accurate reports on key business metrics to support regulatory submissions, monthly tax filings, internal audits, and ad hoc requests from stakeholders
  • Conduct data validation, reconciliation, and quality control checks to ensure reporting integrity and consistency across all outputs
  • Investigate and resolve reporting variances, identifying root causes in data models or transformations and implementing fixes to maintain KPI accuracy
  • Develop and improve processes to streamline data extraction, transformation, and reporting workflows, reducing manual effort and increasing consistency
  • Support automated reporting solutions that improve the reliability and efficiency of recurring report production
  • Assist in gathering and refining reporting requirements from finance, compliance, and business teams to ensure outputs meet regulatory and operational standards
  • Assist in data governance activities, including metadata management, lineage documentation, and maintaining clear reporting specifications
  • Enhance and refresh existing data models and reports by incorporating new data sources, updated business logic, and stakeholder feedback
  • Design and maintain dashboards that support internal stakeholders, ensuring they are accurate, performant, and aligned with business needs
  • Effectively communicate findings and data insights to product managers, finance, and other stakeholders through clear reports and presentations

Skills

  • 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, or similar role
  • Advanced SQL skills
  • Data modeling utilizing a tool such as DBT or similar technology
  • Manage and optimize source code control in GitHub, leveraging branching strategies and best practices to ensure efficient collaboration and code quality
  • Experienced with building dashboards and reporting tools (e.g. Tableau, Sigma, Power BI, Looker)
  • Customer obsessed and experience focused; highly outcome-oriented and data-driven; experienced in working in high-growth environments
  • Demonstrated ability to partner closely with stakeholders, earning trust and prioritizing relationships
  • Logical and analytical approach to problem solving
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Positive and flexible attitude, a willingness to embrace new initiatives
  • Plus for utilizing AI in analytics
  • Understanding of sports betting or experience in customer behaviour analysis is a significant plus
