Responsibilities

• Pitch and write 6-8 daily food news and trend stories per week
• Make sure stories are optimized with catchy headlines and strong ledes
• Find and interview food industry experts for stories that require additional reporting
• Monitor for breaking news and be ready to report them in real-time

Skills

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
• 1-3 years of editorial experience working in digital media with a food/cooking focus
• CMS experience required
• Personal interest in the food and recipes space
• Detail-oriented and deadline-focused
• A self-starter who can pivot seamlessly as new initiatives and directives are identified and adjusts processes accordingly
• Familiarity with SEO best practices
• Proficiency in project management tools like Google Sheets, Airtable, or similar
