They are seeking a Contract Lead Azure Platform Engineer to design and deliver an enterprise-scale Azure platform, integrating it with existing infrastructure and leading the development process.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise-grade Azure landing zones for a greenfield environment
• Lead the discovery, design and iterative development of the Azure platform
• Build secure, scalable and resilient cloud architectures aligned with enterprise best practice
• Integrate Azure services with existing on-premise legacy estates
• Work closely with the Solution Director (AI & Data) and wider stakeholders to define the platform roadmap
• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance throughout the engagement
• Support the adoption of Microsoft Fabric and associated Azure services where appropriate

Skills

• Extensive experience architecting enterprise-scale solutions on Microsoft Azure
• Proven expertise designing and implementing Azure Landing Zones within complex enterprise environments
• Strong experience integrating Azure with on-premise infrastructure and legacy systems
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and its associated Azure services
• Experience delivering greenfield cloud platforms from discovery through to implementation
• Ability to develop cloud platforms iteratively, balancing immediate business needs with long-term scalability
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
