They are seeking a Contract Engineering Manager to lead and coordinate engineering teams working with .NET and PHP technologies, ensuring high-quality outcomes and effective team operations.

Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for leading and coordinating four small engineering teams operating across .NET and PHP technologies
• You will provide day-to-day leadership, direction, coaching, and oversight to ensure the teams are operating effectively and delivering high-quality outcomes
• Key responsibilities include:
• Proficient with C# / .Net, Azure and PHP as well as Matrix-managing engineering teams across .NET and PHP technology stacks
• Driving high standards of technical quality, delivery performance, and engineering best practice
• Identifying and removing delivery blockers to maximise team effectiveness
• Improving ways of working and helping teams operate more efficiently
• Supporting greater integration between these teams and the wider technology organisation
• Acting as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders and engineering leadership
• Guiding technical decision-making
• Championing AI-augmented software development, helping teams leverage tools such as Claude Code and/or Devin effectively
• Able to hold your own with a wide range of stakeholders, using strong communication skills and professional gravitas to build trust and drive outcomes

Skills

• Proficient with C# / .Net, Azure and PHP
• Experience in leading and coordinating engineering teams across .NET and PHP technology stacks
• Ability to drive high standards of technical quality, delivery performance, and engineering best practice
