Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Trace One is a global leader in PLM and Compliance solutions within the process manufacturing and retail CPG space. They are seeking a Business Consultant to join their Professional Services team, where the role involves translating business needs into effective software solutions and ensuring high-quality delivery and long-term product adoption.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer workshops to gather, analyze, and prioritize business and functional requirements
• Collaborate with Enterprise Solution Architect to produce the Business Blueprint and ensure solution design meets business needs, project constraints, and product vision
• Deliver elements of system design (data migration rules, business rules, prototypes, detailed specifications)
• Contribute to multiple projects in parallel, working closely with Project Managers and cross-functional teams
• Support development, QA, and UAT phases by defining requirements, acceptance criteria, and validating deliverables
• Act as a subject matter expert, providing functional guidance to customers, partners, and internal teams
• Support Sales and Pre-Sales activities, including RFPs, RFIs, and solution demonstrations

Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Consultant delivering software solutions
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Knowledge of and experience in the use software design and modeling tools (e.g. UML etc.)
• Experience in requirements gathering, solution design, and stakeholder management
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
• Experience in PLM and/or Food & Beverage /Chemical environments is a strong plus
• Professional working proficiency in Italian language
• Proficient in English, both in written and verbal communication
