[Remote] Accounting Clerk
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Harnish Group Inc. is the Caterpillar Dealer in Central and Western Washington, and they are seeking a full-time Accounting Clerk to join their accomplished team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing vendor invoices, maintaining accounts payable records, and assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities.
Responsibilities
- Review, verify, and process vendor invoices and payment requests
- Prepare and process electronic transfers, checks, and other payment methods
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable records
- Respond to vendor and branch inquiries regarding payments and account status
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
- Prepare reports and documentation as required by management
- Support other accounting and administrative functions as assigned
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- 1-2 years of accounts payable or accounting experience preferred
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems is an asset
