Provisionally Licensed Psychologist/ Post-Doctoral Fellow

Sugar Land Psychological Associates is a growing multidisciplinary behavioral health practice dedicated to providing high-quality, evidence-based psychological services to children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, and older adults throughout the Greater Houston area. Our clinicians provide comprehensive psychological assessment, psychotherapy, forensic and diagnostic evaluations, consultation, and community education while working collaboratively within a supportive team environment. We are currently seeking a motivated Post-Doctoral Fellow / Provisionally Licensed Psychologist who is passionate about providing exceptional clinical care while continuing to grow professionally under licensed supervision. This position offers extensive clinical experience, mentorship, opportunities for psychological testing, psychotherapy, research involvement, supervision experience, and professional development across a wide range of clinical presentations and patient populations.

What You'll Do

As a member of our clinical team, you will provide evidence-based psychological services across outpatient, telehealth, school-based, and community settings. Responsibilities include:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, intake evaluations, diagnostic interviews, and behavioral health screenings.
  • Provide evidence-based individual, family, couples, and group psychotherapy.
  • Utilize evidence-based treatment approaches including:
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Trauma-Focused CBT
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
  • Motivational Interviewing
  • Exposure-based interventions
  • Other empirically supported treatments
  • Conduct psychological testing and interpret assessment results under supervision.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor clinical progress.
  • Provide crisis assessment, intervention, and safety planning when clinically indicated.
  • Work with diverse populations
  • Complete documentation in accordance with HIPAA, ethical standards, and practice policies.
  • Collaborate with physicians, schools, attorneys, case managers, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in case consultation, multidisciplinary staffing, and peer consultation.
  • Participate in community outreach, presentations, workshops, and professional education activities.
  • Contribute to clinical research, program development, or quality improvement initiatives based on your interests.
  • Develop supervision skills through mentorship opportunities with advanced trainees when appropriate.
  • QualificationsRequired
  • Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology from an APA-accredited or equivalent doctoral program.
  • Provisionally Licensed Psychologist (LP) or Post-Doctoral Fellow eligible for Texas psychologist licensure.
  • Eligibility to practice psychology under the supervision of a Licensed Psychologist in Texas.
  • Strong clinical interviewing and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Commitment to ethical practice and evidence-based care.
  • Ability to work independently while functioning effectively within a collaborative multidisciplinary practice.

Compensation

This is a 1099 Independent Contractor position with a competitive productivity-based compensation structure. Contractors receive 35–50% of collected clinical revenue, with higher percentages earned as weekly productivity increases. Expected annual earnings: $75,000–$150,000+, depending on caseload, clinical interests, and productivity. Compensation includes opportunities to generate additional income through:
