This is a fully remote role supporting our BioAnalytical Laboratory in Richmond, VA. We welcome applicants from all locations within the US. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, which includes a drug screening. A Day in the Life: Join our collaborative team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Project Manager I, where you'll lead initiatives that help make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. In this role, you'll manage cross-functional projects while ensuring excellent customer service and operational efficiency. You'll coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within scope, from clinical trials and pharmaceutical services to technical documentation and quality management. This position offers an opportunity to develop your project management skills while contributing to meaningful scientific advances and healthcare solutions. Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree required, no prior experience required in project management or coordination
• Preferred Fields of Study: Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, Business, or related discipline

Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 2+ years’) or equivalent combination of education, training, & experience.

• Additional certifications in Project Management are valued but not required
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation and process management capabilities
• Experience with quality systems and GMP compliance preferred
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in English required; additional languages may be needed based on location
• Experience with project management software and tools
• Ability to identify and mitigate risks while maintaining project timelines
• Strong customer service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
• Understanding of relevant industry regulations and standards
• Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or scientific industries preferred

In some cases, an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role. Working Conditions and Environment:

• Work is performed in an office and/or a laboratory and/or a clinical environment with exposure to electrical equipment.
• Exposure to biological fluids with potential exposure to infectious organisms. Rare exposure to skin and lung irritants, radiation, toxic materials and hazardous waste.
• Personal protective equipment required such as protective eyewear, garments and gloves.
• Exposure to fluctuating and/or extreme temperatures on rare occasions.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently stationary for 6-8 hours per day.
• Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists.
• Occasional mobility required.
• Occasional crouching, stooping, bending and twisting of upper body and neck.
• Light to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moves) objects including luggage and laptop computer with a maximum lift of 15-20 lbs.
• Ability to access and use a variety of computer software developed both in-house and off-the-shelf.
• Ability to communicate moderately complex information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
• Frequently interacting with others, relates sensitive information to diverse groups.
• Ability to apply basic principles to solve conceptual issues.
• Performs a wide range of variable tasks as dictated by variable demands and changing conditions with little predictability as to the occurrence. Ability to perform under stress. Ability to multi-task.
• Regular and consistent attendance.
