Part-Time Speech Therapy Operations Coordinator (Remote/Hybrid)

Connect Speech Therapy – Sheridan, WY Location: Primarily remote with occasional in-person collaboration in Sheridan, WY (Candidates in Northeast WY and Southeast Montana are strongly encouraged to apply.) Hours: 15–25 hours/week (flexible schedule) Pay: Competitive hourly rate (based on experience) About Connect Speech Therapy At Connect Speech Therapy, we’re changing how speech therapy services reach rural communities. Through a blend of in-home, clinic-based, and telehealth services, we make care more accessible, flexible, and effective for families across Wyoming and beyond. We’re looking for a detail-oriented, dependable Operations Coordinator to help keep our growing practice running smoothly. What You’ll Do This role is the operational backbone of the clinic. You’ll help ensure patients get scheduled, services are authorized and billed correctly, and communication flows smoothly. You’ll also work directly with the Practice Owner in a collaborative, supportive environment where your contributions have a visible impact on daily operations and patient experience. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Managing patient scheduling, cancellations, and therapist calendars
  • Coordinating new patient intake and ensuring all paperwork is complete
  • Verifying insurance coverage, benefits, and authorization requirements
  • Supporting billing workflows: claims submission, payment posting, and denial follow-up
  • Tracking authorizations, visit limits, and plan-of-care timelines
  • Communicating with patients about appointments, billing, and telehealth logistics
  • Maintaining HIPAA-compliant records and handling sensitive information securely
  • Assisting with basic operations like supplies, vendor coordination, and reporting

What You Bring Required

  • 2+ years of experience in healthcare administration and/or medical billing
  • Hands-on experience with scheduling, intake, and insurance verification
  • Comfort using EHR/EMR systems and payer portals
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
  • Clear, professional communication skills

Preferred

  • Experience in a speech therapy, physical therapy, or occupational therapy clinic
  • Familiarity with authorizations, claims, denials, and revenue cycle workflows
  • Understanding of CPT/ICD-10 basics
  • Medical billing certification (a plus)
