Position Summary Owatonna Online is a grade 4 - grade 12 online learning environment. Ensure high levels of student learning through engaging, high-quality virtual teaching. Educator is innovative and serves as a facilitator for students’ learning. Educator will collaborate with colleagues, families, and all stakeholders to provide support virtually for students enrolled in the district's online school, Owatonna Online. Educator is able to build strong partnerships with adults supporting student learning, and is responsive to student needs academically, socially, and emotionally. Educator will be a learner, problem solver, and engage in on-site professional development. Educator will provide IEP services for students and will be responsible for the paperwork associated with case management. Our online teachers can work remotely. There are a handful of dates that they are required to report (Workshop and staff development days) throughout the year.

Qualifications

• A valid MN K-12 Special Education Teaching license is required.
• An Ideal candidate will have a solid background in equity, technology, and ensuring all students learn at high levels. Bilingual skills in Spanish or Somali desired. Consistent and reliable attendance is required.
• Experience with Edgenuity and/or Pearson Connexus preferred. Salary Based on candidate's education and experience per the OEA Master Agreement. Benefits offered for this position are as listed Teacher - Full Time and Part Time
