(*in collaboration with AbbVie) About the Role: Responsible for securing and optimizing access for Neurocrine brands across assigned national accounts, that may include Trade, Specialty Pharmacy, LTC Pharmacy (and associations), and Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs). Builds and sustains strategic relationships that advance patient access and align with Neurocrine’s enterprise and brand objectives. The National Account Director, Trade applies deep expertise in the U.S. trade and pharmacy ecosystem and collaborates closely with cross-functional partners (including Market Access Marketing, Pricing & Contracting, Patient Access, Field Sales, and Medical) to design and execute strategic account plans. Ensures all strategies are aligned with Neurocrine’s priorities and executed in compliance with company policies and industry regulations._ Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to): Cultivates and maintains strategic, long-term relationships with key account stakeholders by developing a comprehensive understanding of customer business models, organizational structure, strategic priorities, and decision-making processes Develops, executes, and continuously evolves comprehensive, account-specific business plans aligned to national and regional strategies and monitors contract progress, deliverables, and performance against goals Leads operational engagement with pharmacies and distributors, including regular business reviews, patient status alignment, and issue resolution to ensure patient access Partners with Pricing & Contracting to develop, negotiate, and implement innovative contracting strategies that support brand objectives; aligns closely with field sales to provide appropriate education and address access opportunities and barriers Where possible, identifies and develops effective non-contracting solutions with assigned national accounts by implementing account management strategies that optimize patient access Provides in-depth analysis and monitoring of account performance (KPI’s), including contract performance, product usage, inventory levels, competitive activity, and market share trends; adjusts account-specific business plans to ensure alignment with Neurocrine strategic priorities Provides regular, insights-driven updates to Market Access leadership on account performance, risks, and emerging opportunities across assigned accounts Delivers account and channel insights during internal business reviews, brand planning, and national/regional meetings; contributes to the development and refinement of brand strategies Supports the ongoing evaluation and optimization of pharmacy network composition and oversees onboarding and training of any newly assigned national accounts Monitors and analyzes healthcare and public policy trends of significance to Neurocrine and assigned accounts; translates insights into compliant actionable recommendations Accountable for disciplined execution and measurable outcomes, including access, education, utilization, and overall account performance Requirements: BS/BA degree in Business, Marketing, or Scientific Field and 12+ years managing national/regional strategic pharmacy accounts. Experience leading Specialty Pharmacy, LTC, and/or GPO account types in the behavioral health setting is highly preferred. OR Master's degree or MBA preferred and 10+ years of similar experience noted above Account Management & Strategic Leadership Demonstrated ability to establish and lead strategic relationships with national pharmacy accounts including specialty pharmacies, LTC pharmacies (and associations), GPOs, and key healthcare stakeholders in order to advance patient access to therapies Proven success engaging executive-level decision-makers to enhance access, distribution, and fulfillment strategies aligned to enterprise priorities Extensive experience navigating complex, multi-channel national accounts, including coordinated engagement across specialty pharmacy networks and distributors Demonstrated ability monitoring account performance and proactively pursuing, negotiating, and securing appropriate remedies or corrective actions when contractual obligations or performance standards are not met Enterprise Business Development & Execution Consistent track record of delivering against national performance objectives across assigned accounts Advanced capability to develop and execute integrated account strategies aligned with Brand, Market Access, and Corporate objectives Demonstrated ability to identify, prioritize, and scale access and growth opportunities, optimizing patient access and product utilization Deep understanding of and experience leading contracting strategy, pricing discussions, and implementation of access agreements, ensuring effective and durable execution of contractual terms Industry Leadership & Market Expertise Deep understanding of U.S. pharmaceutical distribution models, specialty and LTC pharmacy dynamics, and reimbursement landscapes impacting patient access Expertise in payer and formulary decision-making, channel strategy, and access optimization within neurology, endocrinology, rare disease, and other specialty disease states Executive Communication Skills Exceptional ability to effectively communicate across executive and senior stakeholders, both internally and externally Advanced negotiation and presentation skills, leading complex discussions with national accounts and strategic partners Proven ability to translate clinical, economic, and access-related data into clear, compelling narratives that support decision-making Advanced Analytics & Strategic Insights Strong ability to leverage data, analytics, and market insights to inform national account strategies and optimize performance Experience utilizing CRM systems, customer data, and specialty pharmacy insights to drive decision-making and execution Demonstrated data-driven approach to identifying trends, measuring impact, and continuously improving account performance Cross-Functional & Organizational Leadership Proven success partnering across Market Access, Marketing, Patient Services, Sales, Medical/HEOR, Compliance, and Legal to deliver integrated account strategies Ability to align internal stakeholders around shared access and patient-centric objectives, ensuring consistent execution Track record of strong leadership capabilities in a matrixed organization Commitment to fostering collaboration, sharing insights, and elevating organizational capability in support of Neurocrine’s mission Account Management & Strategic Leadership Strong knowledge of compliance, regulatory, and pricing considerations, including government programs and evolving healthcare policy Ability to translate market insights into actionable strategies that enhance access and support long-term brand success #LI-JH1 Neurocrine Biosciences is an EEO/Disability/Vets employer. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position is eligible participate in the Company’s quarterly incentive compensation plan, which provides the opportunity to earn additional compensation based on individual performance results. This position is also eligible to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
