About the Role

Lendz Financial is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Closing Specialist to join our growing operations team. This role is critical to ensuring a smooth and compliant loan closing process, supporting both first and second mortgage transactions across our Non-QM product suite. You’ll be responsible for managing loan files from clear-to-close through funding, coordinating with internal teams and external partners to deliver accurate, timely closings. This is a fully remote position within a distributed team environment. What You’ll Do Manage the closing and funding process for assigned mortgage loan files, including first and second liens Review loan files to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company, investor, and regulatory guidelines Prepare and review closing documents, including Loan Estimates (LE), Closing Disclosures (CD), redisclosures, notes, and security instruments Coordinate with borrowers, title companies, attorneys, lenders, and internal teams to facilitate a seamless closing process Ensure all closing conditions are cleared prior to funding Partner with title companies to resolve title issues and ensure clear closing conditions Verify loan terms and documentation comply with applicable federal and state regulations Collaborate with Account Managers and Underwriters to address and resolve file-level issues Maintain accurate and organized records of all loan transactions in accordance with regulatory requirements Deliver a high level of customer service to both internal and external stakeholders Monitor pipeline to meet closing timelines and service level expectations (SLAs) Stay current on regulatory changes and industry best practices related to closing and disclosures What We’re Looking For 2+ years of mortgage closing experience required, including first and/or second liens Strong working knowledge of mortgage lending regulations, closing processes, and loan documentation Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple files and priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced environment Strong written and verbal communication skills Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines consistently Customer-focused approach with strong interpersonal skills High school diploma or equivalent required
