MEDITECH Analyst - Pharmacy (PHA)

Classification: Contract Duration: 12 months Position Summary CereCore is seeking a MEDITECH Pharmacy Analyst (PHA) to join our team, supporting the Pharmacy domain. This position plays a key role in optimizing and maintaining the Pharmacy module within the MEDITECH Expanse environment for HCA Healthcare, ensuring workflows and configurations align with clinical and operational needs. The analyst will partner closely with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, clinicians, and IT stakeholders to drive enhancements, troubleshoot issues, and deliver high-quality solutions that improve patient care and medication safety. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to large-scale, enterprise initiatives within one of the nation's leading healthcare organizations. The position requires minimal travel and provides a collaborative environment with the ability to share knowledge, innovate, and support continuous improvement in pharmacy operations through technology. This position is fully remote; however, occasional travel (1-2 trips per quarter) will be required to support client or project needs.

Responsibilities

  • Experience with installation of clinical electronic healthcare systems.
  • Working knowledge of Health Information Systems.
  • Able to assimilate feedback from clients and actively drive process improvement and culture change as implemented/approved by leadership.
  • Uses professional knowledge and experience to advise the client on optimal workflows and system functions.
  • Openly shares this knowledge with peers, via Peer to Peer training.
  • Develops documentation and project content for internal or external utilization.
  • Has excellent communication skills verbally and in writing, customer service focus, and is able to work independently or on a project team.
  • Drives client communication process to develop and enhance client understanding of the project Best Practice, project timelines, tasks, client commitment, risk/issue impacts and mitigation.
  • Independently monitors own work for accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Shares knowledge to project teams, clients and drive the process change with clients and within a team.
  • Prioritizes own tasks and assists peers with task identification and documentation.
  • Understands project deliverables and level of effort to complete. Participates in the strategic planning with clients or utilizes project knowledge in the statement of work development process.
  • Drives to incorporate Lessons Learned into department practice/methodology, including process improvement.

Requirements

  • Licensed Pharmacist (RPH, PharmD) or Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
  • 7+ years of experience within the inpatient Pharmacy space
  • Strong expertise in either MEDITECH Magic and/or Expanse
  • Experience building pharmacy order sets
  • Mapping NDC's to Drug ID's
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Intermediate to expert ability to work in Office suite products: Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, and Power Point.
  • Must have strong documentation skills, organization skills, and the ability to interact with team members cross-functionally.
  • Creates deliverables independently.
  • Provides coaching and technical and functional guidance on specific project deliverables.
  • Leads in communicating requirements to development, testing, education and training teams.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • A sense of responsibility and accountability; someone who takes ownership and initiative.
  • Adaptable and flexible.
  • Professional demeanor and positive attitude; customer service orientation.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Health Informatics, Computer Science, or a related healthcare/technology field preferred.
  • Advanced degrees (PharmD, MS in Health Informatics, MBA) or equivalent combination of education and experience a plus.
