About the position Support the Vermont Army National Guard (VTARNG) by providing detail-oriented Medical Records Technician services for Non-Clinical Case Management operations for Service Members. This role will support the VTARNG Office of the Deputy State Surgeon by assisting with medical documentation, records management, case coordination support, and readiness tracking activities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and organize medical and case management records
• Assist with case tracking, data entry, and records processing
• Support non-clinical case management operations and readiness reporting
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of records
• Coordinate records requests and documentation management
• Support compliance with HIPAA, PII, and DoD information security requirements
• Assist with administrative and operational support activities

Requirements

• Experience in medical records, healthcare administration, or medical office support
• Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management systems
• Obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC)
• Successfully complete background screening requirements
• Complete required DoD and Army training and compliance requirements

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of electronic medical records systems preferred
• Experience supporting military, VA, TRICARE, or government healthcare environments
• Familiarity with medical terminology and case management processes
