Manual QA Engineer – Middle/Senior

Overview: SOFTSWISS continues to expand the team and is looking for a Middle/Senior Manual QA Engineer with 3+ years of commercial experience in web testing to join our Online Casino Platform team. We need a true, experienced and accomplished professional who shares our culture and values. About Product: We invite you to take the challenge and join our L3 team of Online Casino Platform, the leading product of the company. It serves to manage all the online casino processes behind the scene including players, games, payments, bets, bonuses, tournaments, lotteries, and so on. Casino Platform is a Ruby-based high-loaded solution with lots of services and integrations built with a focus on security and stability. While you are reading this text, our web application has successfully processed 120,000 requests in one casino only, by the way, we have more than 100 ones. The product is in the active product development phase, it’s being actively developed and enhanced with new functionality and features. Our current stack: Backend: Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Sidekiq, Redis, WebSockets; Technologies and Tools: Docker, K8S, MinIO, Vault, Swagger, Dry-rb, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD; Monitoring: Datadog, Zabbix, Sentry, Kibana. We are a department of 100+ real experts and fans of their work ready to always support each other. We are Agile-oriented in our processes. We are those who are setting trends for other teams in our company. L3 team overview In L3 team we support our product in the most advanced technical way by: Resolving, analyzing, and preventing most difficult issues by improving usability, architecture and processes; Providing reliability and improving performance of Casino Platform product; Automation and simplification repeating operations. Key responsibilities: Work with the team of developers to investigate and resolve customer issues focusing on preventing them in the future; Prepare testing documentation; Use your problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex customer issues and provide solutions that meet customer expectations and our SLAs; Continuously improve your knowledge of testing methodologies, technologies, and tools, and share your learnings and best practices with the team; Continuously growing your depth of knowledge on the products you support; Develop your technical or management skills; Contribute to developing our fast-growing team with ambitious goals. Required Experience: Solid understanding of QA processes and testing methodologies; Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills; Taking ownership of tasks and ability to work independently; Strong attention to detail while being able to multitask; Experience with logging (Kibana), and monitoring systems (Sentry, Datadog); Strong understanding of database concepts and ability to write complex SQL; Proficient in testing APIs using tools like Postman or equivalent, and comfortable working with RESTful API; Experience writing and working with test documentation; Solid Linux & Bash fundamentals; proficiency with Git; Experience with message brokers (Kafka); Upper-intermediate proficiency in English and strong command of Russian. Nice to have: Understanding of microservices architecture and containerized environments (Kubernetes); Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins); Experience interacting with product/business stakeholders or clients.
