Logistics Coordinator Sun-Thurs 4am-12pm EST ( Remote local to Miami )

About the position Marken, a UPS Healthcare company, is seeking service-oriented, career-minded individuals for a Logistics Coordinator position within its 24x7 call center. This role involves solving a full range of logistics challenges by engaging with customers and/or agents in a dynamic and challenging environment. The position will initially be remote with an anticipated transition to an on-site role in Miami, Florida. UPS Healthcare Precision Logistics focuses on clinical and advanced therapy logistics, aiming to reach patients faster and provide scalable supply chain solutions. Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming customer requests via phone, email, and website with urgency and attention to detail.
  • Using proprietary logistics management platforms, process, monitor, and manage critical customer shipments for medical, aerospace, telecommunications, and high-tech industries.
  • Verify customer instructions and ensure necessary permits/licenses are in place for country requirements.
  • Determine carrier based on rate, availability, and customer service.
  • Confirm customs clearance.
  • Collaborate with service partners and brokers for pre-alerts and to resolve clearance issues.
  • Communicate professionally and courteously with customers, agents, brokers, and colleagues.
  • Receive, review, verify, and process import and export documentation in compliance with regulations.
  • Inform customers of customs clearance, delivery instructions, and other required information.
  • Prepare, route, and cut air bills and manifests.
  • Identify, document, and escalate shipping irregularities and non-conformance.
  • Handle non-conformances and reschedule shipments if needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of customer service experience.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and data entry.
  • Typing speed of 30 WPM.
  • Must have outstanding communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
  • Must be flexible with the ability to work additional hours as business requires.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Desire to exceed customer expectations.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of US and world geography and time zones is preferred.
  • Call Center experience is preferred.
