Legal Billing Specialist (Remote, Law Firm Experience Required)

Required: 3+ years of law firm experience handling client billing. Applications without this experience will not be considered. We are seeking an experienced Legal Billing Specialist to support multiple law firm clients in a fully remote role. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the full billing cycle from prebill review through final invoice submission.
  • Process edits, write-ups/downs, transfers, and client-specific billing adjustments.
  • Submit and manage e-billing through LEDES platforms (including follow-ups and rejections).
  • Ensure compliance with client billing guidelines and requirements.
  • Administer billing rate changes and maintain accurate billing data.
  • Track client expenses and ensure accurate client cost allocation.
  • Communicate proactively with clients to resolve billing issues.
  • Meet strict billing deadlines across multiple clients.
  • Support other projects and duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of legal billing experience in a law firm (required)
  • Experience with LEDES and e-billing platforms such as: TyMetrix 360, Legal eXchange, CounselLink, Collaborati, LSS, Datalytics, Legal Tracker, CSC, and CounselGo.
  • Experience with legal practice management systems such as: 3E, ActionStep, Aderant, Caret, Centerbase, Clio, Cosmolex, Coyote, Harvest, MyCase, PC Law, Practice Panther, Smokeball, SurePoint, Tabs3, Timeslips, and TimeSolv.
  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • 3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (preferred)
  • Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
