Lead Supply Chain Engineer

The Lead Supply Chain Engineer supports remote continuous improvement programs across 50+ connected factories, driving measurable improvements in service, inventory, and working capital through data integrity, tool optimization, and process standardization. The role maintains and enhances technology workflows, delivers accurate reporting, and enables enterprise supply chain initiatives such as PFEP, POH, MRP governance, dashboards, shortage alerts, and KPI tracking. Responsibilities: Strategic: Support remote CI programs across connected plants through data and tool management. Maintain and optimize OpCo-specific workflows and supply chain tools. Ensure accuracy and integrity of supply chain data used for planning, execution, and performance monitoring. Operational Responsibilities: Collaborate daily with site supply chain teams to capture issues, identify opportunities, and implement improvements. Pull, clean, and validate ERP data feeds for PFEP, POH, and MRP parameter governance. Build, update, and maintain Power BI dashboards, shortage alerts, PFEP files, and KPI trackers. Support AMSC Assessments with data analysis, reporting, and visualizations. Execute process standardization and tool deployment tasks directed by the COE Supply Chain Manager. Participate in virtual Kaizen events, audits, and ensure timely follow-up on improvement actions. Technical / Functional Skills: Strong experience in planning and execution processes: PFEP (Plan for Every Part), MPS, MRP, Inventory Optimization, Shortage Management, Demand/Supply balancing, SIOP. Proficiency with multiple ERP systems (experience with at least 3 distinct ERPs, e.g., SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, MAPICS/BPCS) and advanced supply chain tools and dashboards. Proficiency creating reports/queries out of ERP databases, familiar with their tables and fields. Strong data/analytics skills (Excel, Power BI, SQL, or similar). Ability to implement standardized processes across OpCos/sites. Knowledge in Lean & Six Sigma methodology. Key Interfaces: Supply Chain Engineering Manager – Priority setting, guidance, and reporting. Site Supply Chain Managers, Planners, Buyers – Daily CI execution support. COE Technical Support & IT/Data Teams – Tool integration, automation, and troubleshooting. OpCo Supply Chain Leaders – Updates on initiatives and improvement activities. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Monthly Avoidance Opportunities on sites using POH. Shortages by site (via Synchronizer). Inventory Turns (Net Inventory, Raw Material). Raw Material and WIP Inventory reduction vs. AOP goals. % and $ of Safety Stock under/over PFEP suggested levels. On-time completion of Kaizen events and follow-ups. Supervisory Responsibilities: No Supervisor responsibilities Minimum required qualifications: Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations, or related field (Engineering degree preferred). Professional certifications (APICS/ASCM CPIM, CSCP, or similar) strongly preferred. Lean/Six Sigma or continuous improvement certifications is a plus. Experience: 5–8+ years in Supply Chain, with at least 1–3 years in a leadership role (managing planners, buyers, and/or supply chain engineers). Proven success in multi-site, multi-business environments (preferably global, across different OpCos/divisions). Experience in manufacturing under MTO, ATO, ETO, and MTS environments. Demonstrated impact on: On-Time Delivery (OTD) improvement. Past Due reduction. Inventory reduction while maintaining service levels. Inventory Turns improvement.
