Position: Hawaiian Language Expert Type: Hourly contract Compensation: $40 - $95/hour Location: Remote Commitment: 10 40 hours/week Role Responsibilities

• Translate, review, and edit content between Hawaiian and English with high accuracy.
• Evaluate AI-generated text for linguistic quality and cultural relevance.
• Provide detailed feedback and annotations to improve language model performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance natural language processing outputs.
• Maintain and update linguistic resources and standardized terminology.
• Conduct quality assurance checks on written and verbal materials.
• Support development of guidelines for language data curation and translation.

Requirements

• Native or near-native proficiency in Hawaiian with strong English communication skills.
• Strong experience in translation, localization, and editing.
• Deep understanding of Hawaiian grammar, syntax, and cultural context.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to linguistic accuracy.
• Familiarity with digital tools for translation and annotation.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to meet deadlines.
