[Hiring] Temporary Genetic Counselor @IVI America

Role Description

  • The Temporary Genetic Counselor is a ABGC board-certified genetic counselor. This position will work with both patients and staff across our U.S. sites. This is a responsible position that must work with minimal instruction or direction and demonstrate good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Provides genetic risk assessment and counseling to patients or couples who are being seen for a variety of reproductive indications.
  • Completes appropriate clinical documentation in a timely fashion.
  • Supports clinical staff in assessing appropriateness of genetic testing, evaluating and interpreting results and facilitating additional testing or evaluation as required.
  • Maintains CEU requirements.
  • Remains abreast of new and emerging technologies in reproductive genetics.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the organization's core values and incorporates them into the performance of duties.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications
  • Master’s degree from an accredited genetic counseling program
  • ABGC Certification or a “Board Eligible” status. Note: The successful candidate must become certified within five years of date of graduation from Master’s program. Must maintain certification during tenure. Incumbent must also re-certify every five years per ABGC policies and procedures.
  • Current licensure for Full or Temporary/Provisional Licensure in states in which IVI RMA practices. Preferred licenses in NJ and CA.
  • Requirements
  • Previous experience within ART/IVF genetic counseling - preferred
  • Computer proficiency - required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook.
