California Correctional Health Care Services is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Office Technician (Typing) to support the General Accounting Branch. The role involves managing office supplies, coordinating training, and serving as the timekeeper, all within a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to all staff within the General Accounting Branch
• Serve as the Branch timekeeper
• Coordinate correspondence and training
• Manage office supply procurement in compliance with established procedures
• Work effectively in a hybrid office-centered work environment

Skills

• Ability to type at a minimum speed as designated on the Class Specifications
• Obtain a valid typing certificate confirming your ability to meet the minimum typing speed prior to being hired
• Maintaining consistent, regular, and predictable attendance
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid office-centered work environment
• Strong clerical, organizational, and communication skills
• Initiative, professionalism, tact, and the ability to work independently under tight deadlines
• Experience performing a wide range of technical and administrative duties with minimal supervision
• Current version of the State Examination/Employment Application STD Form 678

• School Transcripts
• Team-oriented
• Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills
• Working knowledge of word processing techniques and procedures
• Effective grammar, writing, and verbal communication skills
• General clerical, correspondence preparation, supply procurement, and time keeping experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, workflow applications, and automated fiscal systems
• Ability to interpret and apply procedures and instructions
• Use resource materials effectively
• Exercise sound judgment
• Knowledge of State organizational structure and policies
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external contacts at all levels
• Providing professional and responsive customer service
