Job Description

We are seeking an experienced freelance packaging designer to create compliant, professional, and brand aligned product packaging for cannabis, hemp, CBD, and THC products. You will design a full range of physical packaging formats while strictly following U.S. regulatory standards for the cannabis industry. Scope of Work •Design packaging for cannabis flower, pre rolls, edibles, concentrates, vapes, tinctures, topicals

• Ensure designs support child resistant (CR) mechanisms, tamper evidence, odor control, UV protection, and freshness
• Create print ready files, dielines, and layout for compliant labeling (warnings, cannabinoid content, batch/lot, ingredients, universal symbols)

• FDA Compliant Materials & Processes All packaging meets FDA food contact safety standards (21 CFR) for consumable products
• Deep Cannabis Regulatory Expertise Specialized knowledge of state & federal rules for cannabis packaging, labeling, and marketing compliance
• Certified Child Resistant (CR) Design CR closures tested to ASTM D3475 / CPSC standards; senior friendly, child proof, resealable, and tamper evident
• Free Custom Design Service Compliant concept & layout design included with production
• Stable, Consistent Quality Reliable color, registration, and structural performance across all runs Requirements
• Proven portfolio of cannabis / hemp / CBD packaging design
• Understanding of U.S. cannabis packaging regulations (CR, labeling, warnings, opacity, child appeal restrictions)
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and dieline creation
• Ability to deliver print ready files with tight tolerances for barcode scanability and regulatory text
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to meet deadlines
