Role Description This is a remote contract role for an Experienced College Applications Advisor. In this position, you will guide students through the college application process, offering personalized support with applications, essays, and interview preparation. Responsibilities include advising on student financial aid, providing academic counseling, and maintaining regular communication with students and families to ensure success throughout the application journey.

Qualifications

• Expertise in College Applications and related processes, including essay writing, application portals, and interview preparation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively guide and mentor students and maintain relationships with families, providing a tailored and attentive experience to each family.
• Proficiency in Student Counseling and Academic Advising to offer strategic and personalized advice to diverse learners.
• Knowledge of Student Financial Aid programs and the ability to assist students in navigating their options.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering outcomes-oriented guidance.
• Previous experience in education, academic advising, or college counseling.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience working effectively in a remote setting.

Preferred

• Deep knowledge of, and experience in international applications: international applicants to the US and US applicants applying abroad (EU/UK).
• Deep expertise with specific programs/majors, e.g. engineering, public policy, science, etc.
• Experience working with high-touch clients.
